That can be explained with a.o. that people care about relative income but no doubt by many other theories as well | |

Again we can do statistics in retrospect (there is in fact a lot of research on correlates of life satisfaction) but causal relationships are hard to establish, let alone validated and used in further modeling exercises. | |
