In a quarterly/annual report, revenue is measured per reporting period, and often there's a comparison to the previous quarter or year-over-year.

Is there a more specific term for a) the total accumulated revenue across all years (or, say, a limited but still a longer term period like the past 10 years or quarters) and b) the percentage that the period's revenue makes up of a)?

  • $\begingroup$ I’ve never heard of a lifetime measure, and it is unclear how useful it would be. Rather than looking at the total revenue over 10 years, people might look at the 10-year average, and then compare the latest figures to the average. Equivalent to looking at the percentage, but more intuitive. $\endgroup$ – Brian Romanchuk Sep 4 at 23:26
