Also, as mentioned in the answer the ratings represent probability of default. Probability of default is increasing in debt but as mentioned in the answer deficits are very important too, in addition also political instability, past default ability to raise taxes play the role as well I focused on explaining why inflation does not matter since that’s what was in your question

Countries with high inflation dont have low rating because of inflation, they have low rating because of very high probability of default, and because they run huge deficits and have huge debt can you remind me what is the #1 country in the world debt-wise ? I guess it must have a very low rating based on this sentence
